I like to seek for a kind of harmony outside of the secular norm, a kind of sentiment connected to the Christian faith. And escape from the shackles of the world into a harmony and tranquillity by emotional precipitation of nature’s rhythm and transformation of vision.

To truly touch art, the most likely thing to lay down is ourselves. When art activities are no longer for the sake of fame and fortune, no longer to prove self-existence, it could finally exist without falsehood. True art should be free of materialism, realism, and it ought to transcend spiritually.

Wang Gon-Jer’s paintings are reserved and pure.
In its light and elegant imageries, there is a rich sense of beauty and artistic conception of oriental ink painting, which at the same time conveys a unique poetic experience.
Hsu Fang Chi – Director of 99°Art Centre

For the works of Wang Gon-Jer, the combination of experience and natural essence has become so real and important.
This experiment allows him to enlarge his inner poetics and intuition. Every work creation is a journey of discovery.

Tai Chia-Jwu - Associate Professor, Tamkang University

Gon-jer’s series of elegant line/color exploration gave birth to new rhythm, atmosphere, subtle but ever enriched colors and strokes. Within the layout of lines and dense rhythm, and between its clean composition there hides delicate rhythmic transformations.
